Catherine Thorpe, born in Cambridge, England, in 1989, is a versatile writer and Fire Safety Inspector. She earned her degree in English Literature at Cambridge which laid the foundation for a diverse writing career that includes journalism, copywriting, and reviewing books and live music performances.

When she is not writing or preventing fires, she is hiking with her husband. She hopes to one day complete the Alfred Wainwright 214 Lake District peaks challenge by the time she turns 40.
